I was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps. I served 8 years active duty with two tours to Iraq. In 2005 I went to Al-Taqaddam Air Base in Iraq and in 2007 I went to Fallujah, Iraq. My grandfather and two of my uncles were also Marines and another grandfather and uncle were in the Army so ever since I was a little boy I wanted to serve my country. It is a family tradition that I hope my sons carry on. I joined the Marines in 2004 after high school because I wanted to help fight terrorism because of 9-11.

I think Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana is a great organization. I love how they make it possible for Veterans to be able to travel to see the memorials and reunions with their units. Now that I am no longer active duty I have made it a priority in my life to serve our veterans and make sure that we get the care and help we all need at times.

My experience with dancing is very little unless you count the times I used to dance in my grandmother’s living room listening to Micheal Jackson. I have really enjoyed the time I have spent with the Fort Wayne Ballroom Company. It is always fun to learn new things, especially from a top notch professional company like them. I am blessed and humbled to be able to be a part of this great fundraiser.
